  • The Traveling Project Engineer/QC or Field Engineer is responsible for managing the field logistics and updating company project managers and contractors to ensure the mission critical projects comply with all engineering standards, codes and specifications.
  • This position works with Project Managers and Superintendents to provide direction and support in managing operations, overseeing the logistics of the job, as well as generating reports for division leaders.

  • Travel requirement 80% to job sites

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Work near machines and loud noises
  • Exposed to variable weather conditions
  • Exposed to variable terrain

Key Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
  • 1-3 years of estimating and managing projects experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work with field concepts and work in the office
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all Veit policies and procedures
  • Ability to respond to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret project plans and specifications
  • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle record
  • Requires 8 to 10-hour hour workdays, Monday – Friday
  • Travel requirement is 80% to mission critical job sites
