  • The Chemical Hygiene Officer will develop, promote, and support a comprehensive laboratory chemical safety program to comply with applicable laws and regulations for Cornell University’s Ithaca campus and outlying facilities.
  • The CHO will have responsibilities that oversee and monitor programs, procedures, and policies that assure compliance in the areas of laboratory safety, including the University Laboratory Safety Manual and Chemical Hygiene Plan.

Key Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in chemistry-based science or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in laboratory or chemical safety

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
