Key Requirements

  • High School diploma, Vocational or Technical course Graduate
  • 3-year apprenticeship program
  • 3 years of documented practical experience
  • Experience with Caterpillar & Fairbanks Morse engines
  • Basic skills in power generation plant operation
  • Advanced knowledge in record-keeping and engine log management
  • Advanced knowledge in Lube Oil and Jacket Water programs
  • Advanced knowledge in computer operation
  • General knowledge of electrical trade materials, methods, and tools
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Ability to read and interpret Work Orders, drawings/schematics/blueprints, and manuals
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code
  • Ability to perform physical activities
  • Comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910
  • CPR and Electrical Safety Training
  • Speak, read, and understand English
  • Pass overseas medical screening
  • Valid country of origin’s driver’s license
  • Basic knowledge using NAVFAC Maximo and Tablet
  • TESDA courses with National Certifications are a plus
