Key Requirements
High School diploma, Vocational or Technical course Graduate
3-year apprenticeship program
3 years of documented practical experience
Experience with Caterpillar & Fairbanks Morse engines
Basic skills in power generation plant operation
Advanced knowledge in record-keeping and engine log management
Advanced knowledge in Lube Oil and Jacket Water programs
Advanced knowledge in computer operation
General knowledge of electrical trade materials, methods, and tools
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Ability to read and interpret Work Orders, drawings/schematics/blueprints, and manuals
Knowledge of National Electrical Code
Ability to perform physical activities
Comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910
CPR and Electrical Safety Training
Speak, read, and understand English
Pass overseas medical screening
Valid country of origin’s driver’s license
Basic knowledge using NAVFAC Maximo and Tablet
TESDA courses with National Certifications are a plus
