The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 19 bed specialized inpatient care area designed for patients who require a level of care more intensive than a general medical‑surgical unit, but not to the degree of continuous, high‑acuity monitoring found in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
