Job Summary

  • The Student Intern will assist the Clinical Epidemiology Department in surveillance activities, data collection and quality improvement initiatives for the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC).
  • During the internship the student will be educated in subjects to prepare for future career in infection prevention, including Introduction to Infection Prevention and Control, Prevention and Control of HAIs, and Microbiology.
  • The internship will conclude with the student given the opportunity to sit for the Associate – Infection Prevention and Control (a-IPC) certification through the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC).
