The Senior Director Functional Safety leads a team of 40+ engineers responsible for the Functional Safety aspects of new product development, including architecture, management, and IP/asset reuse.
This role is a 2nd-line management position reporting to the VP of Global Safety, with key stakeholders including Product Line leadership teams and IP development teams.
The position aims to transform Functional Safety into a clear differentiator for NXP, spearhead technology development for new product roadmaps, and drive improvements in development efficiency, potentially using AI.
