Key Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • 1 year experience in security, public safety, or customer service
  • Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO) within 2 years
  • Unarmed Guard License within 1 year (NC)
  • Stop the Bleed Certification within 1 year
  • Valid driver's license
  • Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card or Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license
  • Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER) use within 90 days
  • Illinois 20-hour Basic Security Officer course (IL)
