Job Summary

  • PATH seeks a Veterinary Infectious Disease Surveillance Advisor for the STRengthening Infectious disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) Project, focusing on zoonotic pathogens and infectious disease surveillance of animal populations in Indonesia.
  • The advisor will support the implementation of surveillance activities, including developing and implementing policies and processes, and ensuring quality delivery of service on surveillance activities in Indonesia.
  • Responsibilities include leading the development, coordination, and implementation of surveillance activities, working with Government of Indonesia counterparts, and strengthening national and subnational animal and human infectious disease surveillance capacity.

Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree or its International Equivalent in epidemiology, public health, veterinary medicine or related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant international experience

  • Experience working with iSIKHNAS, EWARS, and SIZE surveillance systems
  • Strong experience in One Health, zoonotic diseases, surveillance systems, public health, and outbreak investigation and control in Indonesia
  • Strong analytical skills, and experience with DHIS2 use and tool development
  • Prior experience in animal health, zoonotic diseases, or multisectoral collaborations required
