  • Serve as technical expert in the field of EDL design, engineering analysis and thermal testing.
  • Provide solutions and establish criteria for the design, development test, and implementation of advanced EDL system technology needed for current and future exploration spacecraft.
  • Engage with other government agencies, universities, and industrial companies to obtain technical information or discuss mutual areas of interest to build coalitions / partnerships with external partners.

  • 6+ years of experience in structural and thermal analysis
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering (for Senior role)
  • 10+ years of experience in structural and thermal analysis (for Senior role)
  • Experience with EDL flight profiles and spacecraft reusability
  • Willingness to travel approximately two times per year
  • US citizenship required for security clearance
