Job Summary
Assist in the provision of care to ill and injured animals as well as providing assistance to clinicians, staff and professional students in the day to day operations of the Veterinary Medical Center.
Duties include providing basic patient care functions, assisting in the collection of lab specimens, and comforting and caring for hospitalized animal patients.
The successful candidate will be expected to work 40 hours a week with a schedule to be determined by the business unit.

$17.00 - $19.79 per hour

Basic patient care functions
Assist in specimen collection
Comfort and care for hospitalized animals
Maintain clean housing and provide food/water
Monitor patients and report changes
Clean and disinfect treatment and housing areas

Assist with training student employees
Provide clerical support when necessary
Key Requirements
High School diploma or GED
0-2 years of relevant experience preferred
Ability to push/pull/lift up to 75 pounds
Exposure to animal dander and/or zoonotic diseases
Exposure to needle sticks, hazardous chemicals, and/or bio hazardous waste
