Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of classroom teaching experience or youth work
  • Experience teaching English Language Learners/multilingual learners
  • Experience with curriculum creation
  • Familiarity with New York City public schools
  • Certification/experience with Responsive Classrooms or Classroom Mindfulness
  • Strong relationship building and classroom management skills
  • Proficiency teaching social emotional learning
  • Experience with refugee and/or immigrant populations
  • Second language proficiency highly desirable
