Job Summary

  • Provide health, safety and environmental support to the project staff, workforce, and Health Safety & Environment departments, acting as the Thiess representative for environmental performance in accordance with ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Coordinate daily HSE functions, support activities, and input into Thiess HSE data and incident management systems, while leading and supporting the identification of Critical Risks and the verification of Critical Controls.
  • Develop, consolidate and deliver accurate daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports for project and North American regional distribution, and manage WSIB reporting and claims administration.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in similar role or industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in HSE, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Safety/health-related certifications
  • Training certification, Incident investigation, 5whys and ICAM root cause analysis
  • Authorization to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship
