Labcorp is seeking a PRN Reference Test Clerk for its Referrals Team across multiple locations, including Overland Park, Houston, and Dallas. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens, resolving inquiries, and maintaining a clean work environment, with a preference for candidates with prior experience in a medical laboratory

Job Summary

  • Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing, research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems, and send test requests to proper location.
  • Assist clients with specimen related requests, process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities, and provide support to various laboratory areas.

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year or more experience in a medical / clinical laboratory environment
  • Comfortability with handling biological specimens
  • Accurately identify specimens
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Strong communication skills; written and verbal
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
