  • The Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible to plan and implement facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program for nursing assistants as required by regulations.
  • The DSD also provides direct resident/patient care and works with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Administrator to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained.
  • Responsibilities include coordinating staff hiring, payroll, benefits, and conducting and documenting drills, while also identifying education needs and organizing in-service programs.
