Job Summary
The Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible to plan and implement facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program for nursing assistants as required by regulations.
The DSD also provides direct resident/patient care and works with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Administrator to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained.
Responsibilities include coordinating staff hiring, payroll, benefits, and conducting and documenting drills, while also identifying education needs and organizing in-service programs.
