Job Summary

  • Monitor noninvasive cardiac activity and other clinical parameters of patient populations ranging from adolescence to geriatric by continuous electrocardiographic display and pulse oximetry.
  • The technician is responsible for the interpretation the patient’s cardiac rhythm and preforms critical alarm hand off with the nursing unit appropriately.
  • The technician also maintains data related to the monitoring and provides daily reports for the patient's permanent medical record via electronic shift report directly into EMR.
