Job Summary
The role of a Peer Recovery Supporter (PRS) is to support patients with and in recovery from a substance use disorder (SUD).
PRSs serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator for patients with SUD to order help them engage in necessary treatment, promote long-term recovery, and prevent relapse.
Work with patient to identify recovery needs, set goals, anticipate barriers, and develop resilience skills.
