The clinical physicist in Radiation Oncology is responsible for specification and acquisition of all radiation generating equipment, calibration of the treatment machines and acquisition and maintenance of all dosimetry and health-physics equipment.
Evaluates and interprets medical radiation treatment prescriptions and collaborates with medical providers in the design and modification of effective radiation treatments for patients.
Provides technical assistance in the development of treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy and monitors patients.
