Must-have

  • Six years power system operations experience
  • Proficiency with PSS E or PSLF tools
  • Knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards
  • Experience with Energy Management System

Nice-to-have

  • Professional Engineer license preferred
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of WECC Bulk Electric System
  • Mentoring junior engineers capability
  • Experience with CAISO market interface

Key Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering from accredited institution
  • Minimum six years in transmission planning or reliability
  • Working knowledge of NERC TOP, IRO, FAC standards
  • PE license preferred
  • Direct experience supporting outage coordination processes
