Job Summary

  • The Family Engagement Specialist leads the Knowledge Institute’s family engagement-related supports for the child and youth mental health and addictions (CYMHA) sector across Ontario.
  • The incumbent will have demonstrated experience navigating the child and youth mental health and addictions system as a family member or caregiver; excellent communication skills in English and French (both verbal and written); excellent networking skills and the ability to develop strong partnerships with agency leaders, service providers, youth and family members.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience navigating CYMHA system as family member/caregiver
  • Strong knowledge of family engagement principles
  • Strong knowledge of CYMHA sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience using Office 365 suite and MS Office Skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel within Ontario
