Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
One of the following certifications: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, RN, LPN, LVN, EMT, or CNA
Conducting vital signs and preliminary physical tests
Processing co-pays and verifying insurance eligibility
Performing point-of-care testing including flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, and HCG
Maintaining medical records and scanning charts to patient files
Nice-to-have
Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
1+ years of Medical Assistant experience under licensed supervisor
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Collaborative team player with passion for customer focus
Ability to work in a fast-paced urgent care environment
Key Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
BLS certification from ARC or AHA required at hire
Specific MA certification (CCMA, CMA, RMA, etc.) or nursing license required
2+ years of MA experience preferred if no program graduate
Washington State Certified MA or Registered MA certificate if applicable
California MA school graduate or internal training completion if applicable
