  • The team is modernizing Zillow's streaming platform to deliver a reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly ecosystem supporting event-driven systems and emerging AI applications.
  • Employees in this role will independently lead critical initiatives while mentoring engineers and contributing to long-term platform strategy and operational excellence.

Salary

Base: $160,900.00 - $257,100.00 annually (CA, CT, MD, MA, NJ, NY, WA, DC); Base: $152,900.00 - $244,300.00 annually (CO, HI, IL, MN, NV, OH, RI, VT); Equity awards eligible based on experience, performance, and location

  • 5+ years distributed systems experience

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years building large-scale distributed systems

  • Familiarity with Terraform and CI/CD systems
