Job Summary

  • We are offering a competitive starting salary of £40,110.
  • This is a mobile worker role, working 37 hours per week, with out of hours, weekend working, and bank holidays as part of a structured stand-by rota.
  • As an Industrial Electrician, you will undertake maintenance of Yorkshire Waters Electrical and Mechanical assets across wastewater treatment and pumping installations.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Safe isolation to current IET regulations
  • Fault finding on control circuits up to PLC
  • Fault finding on industrial motors and starters
  • Fault finding on industrial 3 phase systems
  • Working with rotating equipment
  • Fault finding on LV control circuits

Nice-to-have

  • Experience of pneumatics
  • Work within ATEX standards
  • Maintaining UPS systems
  • Fault finding with soft start or variable speed drives
  • Fault finding with actuated valves

Key Requirements

  • Recognised Electrical Craft/Technician Apprenticeship
  • City & Guilds/ ONC/ BTEC/ NVQ/ HNC/ HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Eng Tech
  • Full valid driving licence (with no more than six points)
  • Time served industrial electrician
  • IT literate e.g., MS office
  • Ability to produce maintenance reports
