Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for the operation of the Toronto Fire Boat Service for the purpose of firefighting and rescue work in the waters of Toronto Harbour and Lake Ontario.
  • Duties include being in charge of the vessel, the conduct of the crew while aboard, and instructing and directing crews in all matters relating to navigation and docking.
  • The role oversees the maintenance of the vessel during the period of operation under his/her direction and performs other related work as assigned.
