Job Summary
In this role you will participate in the patient care in the ambulatory setting, recognizing normal and abnormal signs and symptoms and provide support during life threatening emergencies.
You may perform basic administrative, clerical and technical supportive services when conditions regarding supervision, training, specific authorization, and records are met.
Be able to work with minimal supervision and independently coordinate and prioritize task and protocols established by the department.

Key Requirements
Medical assistant diploma or certificate
National certification for medical assistant
10 clock hours training in injections
10 hours training in venipuncture
Knowledge of normal and abnormal symptomology
Ability to administer oral, IM and subcutaneous medications
Ability to perform EKG
Ability to order medical supplies
Ability to set up and assist physician with procedures
Ability to perform quality control and patient sample testing
Knowledge of safety requirements for biohazardous specimens
