It is the responsibility of the cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
The cook must maintain the kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner and prepare tasteful meals including special diets accurately.
The job requires cooperation with personnel in all departments and participation in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.

Key Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one year cook experience in hospital or long term care
Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate
Must remain in good standing with Department of Public Health
