Job Summary
The position involves developing Indigenous skills and knowledge in art, music, handicrafts, and other areas both modern and traditional.
The instructor must demonstrate expertise in the impact of colonialism on Indigenous communities and integrate pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Travel, taxi/mileage, accommodation, and per diems are covered by the Office for instructors who require them to teach in Kuujjuarapik.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Master's degree or significant experience
Expert knowledge of Indigenous cultural skills
Knowledge of Quebec Education program curriculum
Experience teaching in Quebec elementary system
Pedagogical approaches anchored to equity diversity inclusion
Nice-to-have
Familiarity with 13 professional competencies
Experience developing curriculum grounded in Indigenous knowledge
Capacity to modify course for community context
Prior teaching in First Nations and Inuit communities
Key Requirements
Master's degree required
Experience teaching similar courses to pre-service teachers
Experience teaching in Quebec elementary school system
Previous successful experience teaching in Indigenous communities
