The HIM Birth Certificate Specialist is responsible for processing birth certificates for newborn encounters within 5 days as required by the state of Florida.
Responsibilities include monitoring OB census, working with nursing areas to resolve discrepancies, issuing paternal documentation, coordinating with the Home Safe program, and ensuring consent and documentation are obtained per State.
