Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 5+ years experience in structural design for HV transmission
  • Expertise in steel structure design for substations
  • Proficiency with RFEM, Idea Statica, STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and IEC standards

Nice-to-have

  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with IStructE or ICE
  • Experience with National Grid or SSE utility standards
  • Familiarity with BIM and 3D modeling tools like Revit or Tekla
  • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities
  • Risk-aware mindset with problem-solving skills

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressively responsible experience
  • Professional registration as Chartered Engineer (advantageous)
