Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
5+ years experience in structural design for HV transmission
Expertise in steel structure design for substations
Proficiency with RFEM, Idea Statica, STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000
Knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and IEC standards
Nice-to-have
Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with IStructE or ICE
Experience with National Grid or SSE utility standards
Familiarity with BIM and 3D modeling tools like Revit or Tekla
Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities
Risk-aware mindset with problem-solving skills
