Job Summary

• Linguists are responsible for performing real-time transcriptions of sensitive material from Spanish to English, collecting, analyzing, identifying, and decoding colloquialisms and slang terms.
• Essential Functions include listening to oral and written intercepts or pre-recorded communications in Spanish and providing verbal and written synopsis and transcriptions, as well as contributing to a master-list of slang words and codes.
• This is an as Needed Part-Time Essential Services Position requiring day and/or night shifts, including weekends and holidays, and is subject to the Service Contract Act.

• Bachelor’s degree AND three (3) years’ experience OR Associate degree AND five (5) years’ experience OR High School Diploma AND seven (7) years of experience
• Minimum of one (1) year of transcription experience
• US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
• Score of 3 or better on third-party Language Assessment
• Type 45 words per minute
