Job Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists the Occupational Therapist with patient-related activities and provides direct patient care in accordance with physician orders, treatment plans, and applicable regulations.
Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and recertification documentation per OT Board, facility policy, and payer requirements.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers on maintenance programs and discharge planning.
