Job Summary

  • Assist the supervisor with the day to day operations of the Main Lab and keep supervisor informed of group progress, problems, employee performance and any significant factors affecting assigned responsibilities.
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs, monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation, and prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.

Key Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in science
  • 2 years of experience as Technologist/Technician
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • ASCP and/or AMT Certifications preferred
  • 1 year of experience supervising or leading a team preferred
  • Non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits may meet education requirement
  • Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
