Job Summary
The Research Senior Technician will assist and support scientific investigations to study Neuroscience Research Institute Brain bank and Biorepository (NRI-BBB), as directed by the Department of Neurology.
Responsibilities also include sorting and processing tissue and blood samples, testing and evaluating current procedures, and performing routine procedures on laboratory animals.
The position also oversees and maintains accurate records of laboratory activities, assists with training junior research staff and undergraduate/graduate students in research methods and equipment operation, sets up and operates laboratory equipment, and monitors research supplies, specimens, and inventory, initiating procurement requests as needed.
