Job Summary

  • The Senior Community Engagement Officer ensures the implementation and supervision of community engagement strategies to guarantee safe, equitable, dignified, and effective access for women, adolescents, and other vulnerable groups to vital sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and protection services in an emergency context.
  • Key responsibilities include operational planning, community mobilization, awareness-raising, social and behavior change (SBC) activities, health and SRH monitoring, community-based WASH for SRH service safety, quality assurance, accountability mechanisms, data collection, team management, and ensuring compliance with security and donor requirements.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in community activities in health (SRH, child health)
  • Diploma in Public Health, Community Development or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in emergencies, epidemics, RCCE/SBC, SRH, WASH, and protection
  • Proficiency in AAP, PSEA, Do No Harm, and inclusion approaches
  • Experience working with community structures (CODESA, committees)
  • Fluency in French and local languages
