• The position will support the Sawers group maize genetics program, involving seed inventory, material preparation for planting, conducting controlled pollinations, harvest, and seed sorting.
• Duties include preparing and conducting greenhouse experiments, collecting data, and coordinating field activities across multiple growing seasons, involving national and international sites, thousands of seed entries, and several collaborators.
• A working knowledge of molecular biology and basic computer skills, including shared database and spreadsheet platforms, are required, along with sound organizational skills and a professional working attitude.
