Job Summary
The Associate Chief Nurse Officer is responsible for the practice of nursing at the OSU Wexner Medical Center by ensuring consistency and excellence in the standard of nursing practice across inpatient nursing units.
The ACNO will work with surgeons/physicians, nurses, anesthesia providers and administration to execute the organizational and nursing strategic priorities, develop team effectiveness and engagement, and set expectations for our patients’ clinical experiences and effective care transitions.
The ACNO leads overall operations in inpatient nursing, evaluates and plans for improvements in nursing leadership performance, sets standards for customer satisfaction (internal and external), and facilitates strategic operational planning and program development.

Key Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Master’s degree in nursing or related field required
Eight years of administrative responsibility
Progressive experience in nursing leadership roles
Current Ohio RN license required
Professional certification in Nursing Administration or clinical practice desired
