Job Summary
This position will work under the supervision and direction of the HLA laboratory supervisor, performing a variety of technical procedures including HLA typing, Luminex based HLA Antibody identification, and donor/recipient flow cytometric cross-matching.

Must-have
Perform ABO/Rh, IAT, DAT, antibody identification
Cross-matching units of blood
Run automated ABO/RH, IAT equipment
Wash red blood cells and plasma
Perform platelet crossmatching and antibody identification
Communicate effectively with blood bank customers
Receive and ensure proper labeling of samples
Nice-to-have
Assist in training new staff and students
Maintain competency on revised and new procedures
Report deviations from standard operating procedures
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences OR an approved ASCP discipline
30 semester hours in biology and chemistry
ASCP and/or CHT (ABHI) certification
Previous clinical laboratory experience
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
