Key Requirements

  • Significant experience in data analytics, reporting and business intelligence
  • Advanced skills in report development, data analysis and performance monitoring
  • Advanced capability in data visualisation and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, MS Excel)
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise reporting systems, data warehouses and data governance
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, audience-focused insights
  • Experience advising senior leaders and working across organisational boundaries
  • Proven leadership capability, including coaching and mentoring others
  • Sound judgement, political awareness and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Commitment to public service values
  • NZ citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CONFIDENTIAL security clearance
