In collaboration with supervising physicians, the Advanced Practice Provider, Congenital Heart Surgery provides for the expansion of individualized healthcare services by diagnosing and treating pediatric and congenital heart conditions at the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease.
Counsels and educates congenital heart surgery patients and their families/ caregivers concerning health conditions, treatment options and community resources.
Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies for congenital heart surgery patients. Performs health assessments, screening, and patient care.

Key Requirements
Physician's Assistant or Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care
Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing
Experience in caring for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease in a Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Critical Care Unit
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
