Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for speech language therapy and programming for patients at SMHC, including diagnosis and treatment of communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
Programming includes ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of speech language therapies in promoting the rehabilitation of persons with psychiatric illness, physical disabilities, and/or acquired brain injury.
The incumbent is responsible for the supervision of staff/volunteers/students working with them and provides instruction, support, coaching, and professional leadership to patient/staff/families.
