Job Summary

  • The Designer Principal supports gas, coal, and renewable retrofit and new generation self build projects by defining and overseeing design execution to meet Engineering Services design basis.
  • This role leads detailed drawing and 3D model reviews to optimize constructability, operability, maintainability, and safety (COMS).

Key Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in applied science (AAS) in drafting and design computer aided design (CAD) or in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering technology and a minimum of 7 years of equivalent experience
  • High school graduate and 10 years of experience in electric utility and/or related industrial drafting and/or computer aided drafting work (without AAS degree)
  • Proficiency in the use of computer aided design software
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to operate a company motor vehicle and possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
