Job Summary
The position involves assisting research scientists and graduate students on projects evaluating effects of front-facing sonar on angler catch rates and fish behavior after trap-and-transfer.
Technicians will perform extensive field work including hook-and-line angling, surgical implantation of electronic transmitters, and operation of standard fish sampling gears like fyke nets and boat electrofishing units.
This is a temporary full-time appointment beginning around April 1, 2026, lasting approximately six months with housing potentially provided depending on project availability.
