Magna Electronics is seeking an Embedded Software Category Buyer who will be responsible for commercial activities, supplier negotiations, and category strategy development within the automotive software segment. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in the automotive industry, especially with embedded software, and possess strong negotiation and analytical skills

Job Summary

  • Responsible for commercial topics with suppliers, including leading RFX activities and negotiating license fees, development and support costs, payment terms, and contractual agreements.
  • Lead category strategy development by collaborating with engineering teams, conducting roadmap alignment reviews, and executing strategies to improve costs and supplier performance.
  • Responsible for supplier relationships, including onboarding, managing ongoing relationships, and leading management meetings with suppliers.
