The three-year apprenticeship includes the final examination for Kaufmann/Kauffrau in Wholesale and Foreign Trade – specializing in Foreign Trade – before the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, as well as the additional examination for Betriebswirt/Betriebswirtin in Foreign Trade.
The theoretical part of the training takes place as day and evening studies at the 'Institut für Außenhandel' in Hamburg and includes, among other things, a two-week certificate course at the 'European College of Business and Management' in London.
The main task of the practical part of the training is to impart knowledge in the international buying and selling of chemical raw materials and pharmaceutical active ingredients.
