Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (ST) functions as an integral member of a team of care providers in the operating rooms of the Perioperative Services, who reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect.
The team, consisting of the registered nurse, perioperative technician, anesthesia technician, anesthesiologist, and surgeon provides patient care and supportive services that are directed toward achievement of patient care outcomes, improving service levels, reducing the length of hospitalization and decreasing costs.
Maintains knowledge related to patient care issues, quality improvement and cost reduction, current policies, procedures, and protocols.
