Job Summary
The primary role is to provide technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair and maintain process instrumentation, PLCs, VFDs, servos, control systems and computers in a high-speed complex environment.
The Control System Specialist will be on call every 5th week for after-hours support and to provide 24-hour weekend coverage at minimum.
This position supports and manages capital projects to eliminate controls obsolescence issues and improve plant quality, reliability, and uptime.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems
Maintain and improve equipment uptime
Provide 24-hour weekend coverage
Operate and troubleshoot VFDs and servo drives
Support capital projects and controls obsolescence
Read and interpret electrical schematics
Nice-to-have
Experience in food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of PC operating systems and virtualization
Mentoring and training personnel
Project management understanding
Vendor and cross-department coordination
Key Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience for Controls Systems Specialist
Minimum 5 years experience for Sr. Controls Systems Specialist
Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field preferred
Advanced programming experience with Allen Bradley PLCs required
