Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of the Vocational Health Care Technician II position is to ensure safety and quality active treatment for the people residing at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center through direct support and program/service development and implementation.
  • The Vocational HCT II is part of the team providing continuous active treatment and vocational training that is based on their needs/preferences/strengths and potential.
  • The Vocational HCT II is involved in supporting the individual in every aspect of his/her life and will be skilled in person-centered philosophies, vocational skill assessments, program design, program implementation and incidental teaching strategies to enhance independence and maximize resident self-determination and ability to successfully live as independently as possible.
