Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of this job is to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of nursing leadership and in accordance with established standards and facility policies.
  • Essential duties include accurately preparing, administering, and documenting medications, reporting errors and reactions, verifying resident identity, and following procedures for medication receipt, destruction, and self-administration.
  • The role requires participation in quality assurance programs, maintaining resident confidentiality, and cooperating with facility surveys and inter-departmental personnel to ensure adequate nursing services.
