The Ophthalmic Assistant supports the clinical team by performing specialized diagnostic testing, assisting physicians with patient care, and ensuring efficient daily operations within the ophthalmology department.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Perform specialized ophthalmic testing
Assist physicians with patient care
Maintain and clean ophthalmic equipment
Communicate with patients about care and procedures
Work full-time including rotating weekends
Strong computer and typing skills
Nice-to-have
Friendly and professional bedside manner
Bilingual language skills
Experience in service-oriented industry
Energetic and empathetic with patients
Demonstrates initiative and flexibility
Key Requirements
High school diploma or GED
JCAHPO Ophthalmic Assistant Certification or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred
Ability to commute to satellite office locations
Bilingual skills required or preferred depending on site
Strong knowledge of ophthalmic practice and instrumentation
