Key Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid Arkansas Driver’s license
  • Two years certified law enforcement experience
  • Certified by Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training
  • Possess a General Certificate
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to engage and maintain control of persons
  • Knowledge of law enforcement practices
  • Skill in the operations of firearms
  • Ability to walk 8 to 12 miles in a 12-hour shift
  • Ability to climb stairwells
