Job Summary
The NC Department of Adult Correction is responsible for the care, custody, and supervision of adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws.
The Chief Probation/Parole Officer supervises staff, manages unit workflow, handles daily operations, and makes decisions about offender supervision, including high-risk individuals.
This role requires crisis intervention, stakeholder engagement, and a flexible schedule with 24/7 availability for emergency calls, along with the ability to qualify annually with a firearm and unarmed self-defense.
